I am an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon based at the renowned Wrightington Hospital. My practice is devoted exclusively to the hip joint with a sub-specialism in young adult hip.
Conditions I see and treat include hip arthritis, hip impingement (FAI), labral tears, post traumatic disorders, avascular necrosis. I perform both hip replacement and arthroscopy (key hole surgery).

My Education & Training
I studied at the University of Manchester graduating with a first class BSc (Hons) and MBChB (Hons), finishing top of my year. My surgical training was in the Northwest Deanery in England with a fellowship in my final year at Wrightington Hospital.

Treatments offered
My surgical practice includes both hip replacement and hip arthroscopy (keyhole) surgery including robotic assisted surgery. I work with a multidisciplinary team to plan and offer the best solution, either operative or non-operative.

My Results
I submit data to the National Joint Register and the Non-Arthroplasty Hip Register, allowing me to evaluate my patient’s outcomes. My results are significantly better than the national average, both in terms of revision rates and patient outcomes.

My Research
Beyond my clinical practice, I have always been involved in research. My undergraduate research studied gene therapy for back pain, and my work now focusses on 3D hip replacement planning, partnering with both Industry and Universities.
